Flinders Private Hospital offers a range of specialties including cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, ENT surgery, general medicine, general surgery, gynaecology, neurosurgery, orthopaedics, plastic & reconstructive surgery, oncology and urology. Flinders Private Hospital has 9 operating theatres, a procedure room, 3 angiography labs, an infusion suite, a 24/7 cardiac emergency centre and a 10 bed level 3 critical care unit.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Reviewing medical records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory standards

·         Ensuring documentation meets coding standards required to ensuring correct revenue generation

·         Collaborating with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and resolve discrepancies.

·         Educating staff on best practices for clinical documentation and coding.

·         Analysing trends and providing insights to improve documentation processes and outcomes.

·         Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care delivery.

Qualifications/ Skills:

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and current AHPRA Nursing Registration

·         Minimum 3 years recent acute medical surgical experience

·         Strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and regulatory requirements

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; attention to detail and critical thinking skills

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the “Adelaide Community Healthcare Alliance (ACHA) & Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (ANMF) South Australian Branch – Nurses’ & Midwives – Enterprise Agreement – 2021-2024 (‘Agreement’ or ‘Enterprise Agreement’)” (salaries range between $31.07-$53.49 per hour).
