Operating Theatre Floor Coordinator
Peri-Operative Registered Nurses | Floor Coordinator | Ashford Hospital
Ashford Hospital are recruiting for an experienced Registered Nurse who is seeking an opportunity to transition into a leadership role. This Clinical Nurse – Floor Coordinator position works in collaboration with the Perioperative Management Team, Perioperative Educator, Visiting Medical Officers and Clinical, Registered and Enrolled Nurses. This position reports directly to the Theatre NUM.
About the role:
Liaise and collaborate, with direct lines of communication with the Perioperative Services Manager POSM, Theatre NUM, VMOs, Perioperative Staff, Patients and other key stakeholders
Continuous evaluation/assessment of the Perioperative Department(s) to ensure adherence to session utilization, operative flow and process
Appropriate management and coordination of adhoc and emergency procedures
Appropriate management and coordination of SL, skill mix and clinic requirements
Display clinical expertise and service excellence in a private healthcare setting
Excellent time management and ability to lead staff in a manner that is encouraging and supportive
Demonstrate thorough understanding of risk management, WHS and NSQHS Standards
Support management and embrace change and new initiatives positively
Ensure appropriate instrumentation/trays, equipment and consumables are available or sourced to meet the requirements of surgical sessions
Provide guidance in the event of an incident and ensure the incident has been fully investigated, recorded in RISKMAN and corrective actions are instigated
Contribute to QIPs and MARS Auditing requirements
Understand conflict resolution management
Consistently contribute to the team and be actively engaged with the organisation/associated professional bodies

About you:
Minimum two years’ experience as a Registered Nurse
Previous experience working within Perioperative environment, and/or surgical nursing
Current Working With Children’s Check (WWCC) and National Police Check (NPC)
Demonstrated abilities in communication, teamwork, leadership, initiative and clinical comprehension

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the “Adelaide Community Healthcare Alliance (ACHA) & Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (ANMF) South Australian Branch – Nurses’ & Midwives – Enterprise Agreement - 2024 (‘Agreement’ or ‘Enterprise Agreement’)” (salaries range between $53.24 -$58.13 per hour).
