Ashford Hospital are now taking applications for a variety of positions within our busy and renowned Maternity unit. The Maternity unit at Ashford Hospital is currently responsible for the delivery of over 1,500 babies per year making it the busiest private maternity service in South Australia. It boasts 7 delivery suites, a 20 bed Postnatal ward and provision for up to 12 babies in our Level 5 Special Care Nursery.

Ashford Hospital is a private not-for-profit 230 bed hospital. Ashford Hospital offers a range of specialties including cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, general surgery, general medicine, gynaecology and maternity, oncology, orthopaedics, urology and vascular surgery. Ashford Hospital has 9 operating theatres, 1 procedure room, 2 angiography labs, an emergency department, maternity services and a 24 bed level 3 critical care unit.
Essential Criteria:
· South Australian DHS Working with Children Clearance
· Current AHPRA Registration
· Two years’ minimum experience as a Registered Midwife
· Demonstrated understanding of National Safety and Quality Service Standards
· Sound knowledge of Midwifery standards and the SA Perinatal Practice guidelines
· Ability to work as a patient advocate and operate as part of a high functioning team
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
· Proven ability to effectively manage under pressure with competing demands

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the “Adelaide Community Healthcare Alliance (ACHA) & Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (ANMF) South Australian Branch – Nurses’ & Midwives – Enterprise Agreement – 2021-2024 (‘Agreement’ or ‘Enterprise Agreement’)” (salaries range between $31.07-$53.49 per hour).
