Expressions of interest are sought from enthusiastic, highly motivated Registered Nurses who have a passion for providing service excellence and would like to join our orthopaedic/ ophthalmology surgical ward with proven experience in surgical wards, specifically orthopaedics. The Memorial Hospital offers a range of specialties including ENT Surgery, general medicine, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, orthopaedic surgery, paediatric surgery and plastic & reconstructive surgery. The Memorial Hospital has 8 operating theatres, a dedicated paediatric day stay unit and a level 2 critical care unit.
Essential Criteria:
· Current South Australian DHS Working with Children Clearance
· Current AHPRA Registration (for nursing/Allied Health roles)
· Demonstrated understanding of National Safety and Quality Service Standards (nursing only)
· Current evidence of vaccinations as required for the role
· Ability to lead by example, demonstrating the professionalism and culture of The Memorial Hospital
· Experience working within a fast paced surgical ward
· Committed to continuous quality improvement
· Committed to provision of quality nursing care, education and customer service
· Proven communication and interpersonal skills
· Proven ability to effectively manage under pressure with competing demands
· Ability to work flexible hours

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the “Adelaide Community Healthcare Alliance (ACHA) & Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (ANMF) South Australian Branch – Nurses’ & Midwives – Enterprise Agreement – 2021-2024 (‘Agreement’ or ‘Enterprise Agreement’)” (salaries range between $31.07-$53.49 per hour).
