Adelaide Community Healthcare Alliance Incorporated, known as ACHA Health, is one of the largest private not-for-profit hospital groups in South Australia. ACHA Health comprises Ashford Hospital, Flinders Private Hospital and The Memorial Hospital. Ashford Hospital is a private not-for-profit 230 bed hospital.

 

Ashford Hospital are seeking to recruit experienced Emergency Registered Nurses into the busy Emergency Department, in both a casual and a permanent part time capacity.  If you are Registered Nurse who is seeking a challenge and want to make a difference with the support of the private hospital community, apply today.

As an Emergency Department Registered Nurse your responsibilities will include: 

·         Working cohesively and with initiative in a multi-disciplinary team

·         Ability to make timely and accurate decisions in critical medical scenarios

·         Liaising with management, key stakeholders and all Emergency staff

·         Supporting management and embracing change and new initiatives positively

·         Displaying clinical expertise and service excellence in a private healthcare emergency setting

·         Provide patient care in accordance with National Safety Quality Standards and ACHA policies

Ashford Hospital offers a range of specialties including cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, general surgery, general medicine, gynaecology and maternity, oncology, orthopaedics, urology and vascular surgery. Ashford Hospital has 9 operating theatres, 1 procedure room, 2 angiography labs, an Emergency department, maternity services and a 24 bed level 3 critical care unit.

 

Essential Criteria: 

·         Current Registration with AHPRA

·         South Australian DHS Working With Children Clearance

·         Background in Emergency Nursing (minimum 3 years)

·         Must work across all shifts - early and late shifts over a 7-day rotating roster (Nursing hours include a number of different shifts between the hours of 0730-2400)

·         Commitment to Quality Patient Care

·         Excellent clinical decision making and problem solving skills

·         Works well independently and within a team

·         Basic computer skills

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the Adelaide Community Healthcare Alliance (ACHA) – Nurses’ & Midwives – Enterprise Agreement – 2021-2024 (‘Agreement’ or ‘Enterprise Agreement’) (salaries range between $35.69 -$48.80 per hour).
