Disability Support Workers -  Albury 

  • Immediate start

About you 

You are an experienced Disability Support Worker who thrives on a challenge and celebrates the little things. Experienced with behavioural support plans and complex disability care, you are passionate about providing a high quality of care. You are proficient in English reading and writing and can build fast rapport with multiple clients. Celebrating the little wins comes naturally to you and you are passionate with assisting others to make small improvements to reach their goals. 

About the role 

Working within a high care house (including complex behaviours) you will provide the highest standard of care to individuals with disabilities. 

As a Disability Support Worker you will provide person-centred care to support our complex clients with various aspects of their daily living. Most importantly, you’ll be supporting clients to achieve goals that matter to them. 

In an average day you will undertake in: 

  • Personal care inclusive of bowel stimulation and catheter flushing 
  • Blood pressure monitoring 
  • High level of manual handling (experience required in the use of hoists and slings) 
  • Complex behavioural issues (knowledge of behavioural support required) 
  • Food preparation 
  • Medication administration 
  • Writing of case notes

Additional requirements 

  • Hold a valid NDIS check, CPR and First Aid Certificate 
  • Fully COVID vaccinated 
  • Right to work in Australia 
  • Relevant qualifications are favourable, but we will train the right candidate within house.
