  • Healthscope Independence Services (HIS) is a specialist of unique accommodation, for individuals with acquired brain injuries, disabilities, complex conditions.

Riverside House is located on a very large corner block in a quiet residential area of Lovely Banks. It is a large 7-bedroom brick veneer home with 2 separate spacious living and dining areas and a staff sleepover room/office. One of the 2 bathroom/toilets is wheelchair accessible with plenty of room for staff to assist with a resident’s personal care requirements. There is also an outdoor living area complete with a barbeque and outdoor furniture that overlooks the vegetable garden, chicken coop and well maintained gardens.

Are you an experienced Disability Support Worker looking to step into a rewarding role that allows you to combine your professional skill and passion for client person centred care and support towards individual living quality lives.  

An exciting opportunity has become available for suitable candidates to provide individualised care and support to clients in our residential house and Attendant Care Service team.


As a Disability Support Worker your responsibilities will include:  

  • Providing personal care such as showering, dressing and grooming to clients
  • Providing support to clients to progress towards achieving their life goals
  • Assist with provision of support with medication administration 
  • Assist with domestic tasks such as cooking, household cleaning and laundry
  • Provide social and transportation support including driving patients to medical appointments and assisting with grocery shopping

Candidate must be able to work varied shifts over a 24-hour period, 7 days per week with varying shift hours.


Selection Criteria:

  • Certificate III or IV in Community Services /Disability/Aged Care or experience working in the disability sector is highly regarded
  • Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance 
  • Current State/Territory Driver’s License
