As a Residential Supervisor your responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee the provision of residential and attendant care support services to people living in a group accommodation home as well as clients living in their own private homes.
  • Oversee the provision of 1:1 support for clients participating in community activities
  • Having a passion to ensure clients are supported in an inclusive way that meets individuals needs
  • To lead, coach and mentor support staff to ensure clients are supported to achieve the highest quality of life and all aspects of operations and resources are aligned to this purpose.
  • To motivate and develop a staff team within a warm residential home environment focussed on ensuring all aspects of service delivery are aligned to person centered care and support and clients are living good lives.
  • being an effective communicator with clients, families, clinicians, internal and external stake holders.
  • Embracing change and leading the team through ever changing  environment in the disability sector.
  • Manage business performance of residential houses including budgets, labour hours, occupancy, staffing, quality and risk activities
  • Participation in on call services for Independence Services


Essential Criteria:

  • Certificate III or IV in Community Services /Disability/Aged Care or Experience working in the disability sector
  • Demonstrated management and leadership capacity, including staff supervision and performance management
  • NDIS Safety Orientation Learning Program certificate
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current National Police Clearance no more than 12 months old Current State/Territory Driver’s License


Desirable Criteria:

  • Additional Disability, Management, Nursing or Allied Health, related Qualifications
  • Experience working in a community, residential and / or rehabilitation environment
  • Evidence of ongoing commitment to professional development
  • Awareness of health care and community systems
  • Strong computer literacy (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel)
  • Awareness of relevant legislation


All candidates should be up to date with relevant Vaccinations/Immunisations: (Hep A & Hep B).
