We are seeking outstanding customer service focused individuals to join our busy Bookings & Admission Centre as a Receptionist. Full time, part time and casual positions available.

 
As a hospital receptionist you are responsible for greeting and welcoming patients and directing them to the appropriate area or person or assist them and that all administrative duties are performed to the highest quality standards.
 
Opening late October 2018, Northern Beaches Hospital will be a fully licensed private hospital, providing care to public and private patients from an outstanding facility with a large range of quality services provided by exceptional nurses, doctors and staff.
 
The Bookings & Admission Centre operates 06:00 to 21:00hrs 7 days a week. The Receptionist is often the first point of contact for many patients & their focus is excellent customer service at all times.
 
You will bring to our high-performing team:
  • A minimum of 2 years receptionist experience in a healthcare setting
  • Understanding of health funds, DVA, third party and worker’s compensation insurance
  • intermediate skill in IT systems, in particular MSOffice and patient administration systems
  • Certificate in Medical Terminology
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills
  • Professional, efficient and friendly manner both over-the-phone and face-to-face
  • Outstanding team member qualities including a willingness to support your colleagues through your flexibility as required
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team 
  • Flexible to work a variety of shifts – early/late shifts & weekend work
