Melbourne Private Hospital 2019 Enrolled Nurse Acute Transition Program
 
This position is ideal for enrolled nurses who are working in subacute areas and wish to move into acute nursing. The aim of the Enrolled Nurse Transition Program at Melbourne Private Hospital is to help you move into an acute facility in a supportive and caring environment.
 
As an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse your responsibilities will include:
  • Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care to individuals/groups under the direction and supervision (either indirect or direct) of the RN
  • Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs
  • Medication endorsed EN may administer medications according to state law and organization policy
     
Our Hospital
 
Melbourne Private Hospital is a large acute facility, co-located with the Royal Melbourne Hospital in Parkville.
 
With a dedicated focus on the provision of quality healthcare, we provide a range of medical and surgical services to our local Melbourne community as well as our regional, rural and international patients.
 
Melbourne Private Hospital contributes to the provision of clinical specialties which include cardiac services, advanced general surgery, neurosciences and neurosurgery, specialist medical services, and day procedure and day oncology.
 
These services are supported by a 10 bed intensive care unit, six bed neurosurgery intensive nursing unit, four operating theatres, two angiography suites, an endoscopy suite, a cardiac unit and a day chemotherapy unit.
 
 
Essential Criteria:
  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • 1 year post registration full time experience as an Enrolled Nurse
  • Be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia
  • Hold a Diploma of Nursing which allows the administration of IV medications
  • Advanced level of clinical skills (desired)
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
  • Demonstrated time management & organisational skills with the ability to meet objectives/timelines
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
