Prince of Wales Private Hospital is seeking expressions of interest from experienced Registered Nurses with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high quality patient care to join our established nursing team.
 
 
As a Registered Nurse your responsibilities will include:
 
  • Provide evidenced based nursing care
  • Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
  • Ensure patient and staff safety
  • Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care
  • Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs
 
Prince of Wales Private Hospital is one of Sydney's leading private hospitals. Located in the heart of Randwick, we share a campus with Sydney Children's Hospital, Prince of Wales (Public), and the Royal Hospital for Women. This provides a unique opportunity for collaborative treatment programs and advanced medical and surgical care not usually available in smaller private facilities. Our hospital has 168 inpatient beds and 20 day surgery spaces and we specialise in cardiothoracic surgery, intensive care, neurosurgery, orthopaedics, colorectal, urology, endovascular surgery, maternity, paediatrics, general surgery, ENT, plastics and oncology.
 
 
Essential Criteria:
 
  • Minimum of 2 years Acute surgical ward nursing 
  • Working with Children check (if relevant)
  • Specialty nursing experience (desired)
  • Commitment to Quality Patient Care
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
  • Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Works well independently and within a team
  • Basic computer skills
 
If you are the preferred candidate for the position, you will need to comply with NSW Health Policy Directive 2011-005 “Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases”.
 
If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope Group - NSWNMA/ANMF - NSW Nurses and Midwives' - Enterprise agreement 2015-2019
