Are you a Registered Nurse with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, and a passion for delivering high quality patient care? Nepean Private Hospital is looking to employ a Registered Nurse for their Angiography Suite. Suitable applicants with the right clinical background are encouraged to apply.
Owned and operated by Healthscope, Nepean Private Hospital is located in the multi-cultural Western Sydney City of Penrith. The hospital is a modern 109 bed facility providing a wide range of health services to the local community since 2000 including: orthopaedics, spinal, gynaecology, ENT, plastics, urology and general surgery, endoscopy, cardiology, cardiac angiography and obstetrics. Nepean Private Hospital has eight operating theatres, one hybrid / cardiac catheterisation theatre and a stand-alone endoscopy suite, supported by a critical care unit which includes two intensive care beds.


The Hybrid Lab opened in March 2016 and has since completed almost 2000 cases.  The Hybrid Lab’s primary business is interventional cardiology, the nurses support the cardiologists to complete diagnostic left and right heart catheterisation, percutaneous coronary interventions and patient care surrounding these procedures. The interventional cardiologists also perform device insertions, trans-oesophageal echocardiograms and cardioversions. Sedation administration and patient assessment is a very important part of the nurse’s role in interventional cardiology.
Vascular surgery is an integral componant of the Hybrid Lab’s business. Cases include peripheral angiogram / intervention, fistuloplasty, fistula formation, endovascular aortic aneurysm repair and vein surgery.
Interventional radiology and pain management services make up the remainder of procedures completed in the Hybrid Lab.

The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate the following:
  •  Be a role model for safe practice and commitment to quality patient care
  • Have an understanding of the National Safety and Quality Health Service standards
  • Be well-developed strong communication and interpersonal skills with advanced problem solving and decision making abilities
  • Have the ability to work both independently and within a team structure
  • Have the ability to act in a professional manner at all times when dealing with clients, their families and colleagues


Essential Criteria:
  • Current unconditional Registration with AHPRA
  • Post Graduate Certificate in Coronary Care or ICU (or working towards)
  • Clinical skills and motivation to ensure excellence in patient care and customer service
  • Advanced Life Support (an advantage)
  • Basic ECG and Haemodynamic interpretation (an advantage)
If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current HSP & NSWNA/ANF Nurses 2015-2019 Enterprise Agreement.
