As a Residential Supervisor your responsibilities will include:
  • Oversee the provision of residential and attendant care services to clients
  • Supervision of allocated staff to ensure high care standards are maintained
  • Manage business performance of residential houses including budgets, labour hours, occupancy, staffing, quality and risk activities
  • Lead, coach and develop team to ensure continual improvement of quality services are provided to clients
  • Participation in on call meetings for Independence Services
Healthscope Independence Services (HIS) is an accredited provider of Residential Care and Attendant Care services with a range of service options.  Independence Services provides a safe and empowering environment for clients to maximise their individual potential. HIS support the clients individual goals and maximise their independence whilst assisting with personal activities of daily living.  We provide services across Melbourne and Regional Victoria, NSW (Albury) and NT - both Residential Care (long term and respite accommodation) and Attendant Care Services.
Essential Criteria:
  • Certificate III or IV in Community Services /Disability/Aged Care or Experience working in the disability sector
  • Demonstrated management and leadership capacity, including staff supervision and performance management
  • Food Safety Certificate (SITXFSA101)
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current National Police Clearance no more than 12 months old Current State/Territory Driver’s License
Desirable Criteria:
  • Additional Disability, Management, Nursing or Allied Health, related Qualifications
  • Experience working in a community, residential and / or rehabilitation environment
  • Evidence of ongoing commitment to professional development
  • Awareness of health care and community systems
  • Strong computer literacy (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel)
  • Awareness of relevant legislation
  • All candidates should be up to date with relevant Vaccinations/Immunisations: (Hep A & Hep B)
