This is an exciting career opportunity to work as an Assistant in Nursing (AIN) as part of our dynamic nursing team at Northern Beaches Hospital! 
Come and join our friendly and dynamic team!  We are a 36 bed cardiac and respiratory ward inclusive of 6 CCU beds.  Each unit is equipped to provide highly specialized care and close monitoring of acutely ill adult patients often with cardiac monitoring and chest drains.  We are an innovative and dynamic department dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of our community. We are committed to providing the highest levels of healthcare and services, with a strong focus on leadership, education and an ongoing outlook on the importance for developing skills for all new staff.

As an AIN your responsibilities will include:
•    Assist nurses or hospital staff in carrying out patient care duties
•    Work as part of the health care team; practice in accordance with state legislation and within the designated scope of practice parameters
•    Assess patients using therapeutic skills
•    Provide recommendations to specialist treatment programs based on their diagnosis
•    Answering patient/visitor/customer enquiries

To be successful in this role you will possess the following skills and attributes:
•    Certificate IV in Health Care from an approved training provider
•    More than 4 years’ experience in an acute care hospital
•    Excellent customer service skills
•    Demonstrated, effective written, verbal communication
•    Excellent ability to plan and prioritise work
•    Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
•    Experience working in the private healthcare system
•    Flexibility to manage shift work (including, day & night shifts) over 7 days
