Exciting career opportunity to work as an Assistant in Nursing (AIN) as part of our dynamic nursing team at Northern Beaches Hospital. Ward 3C will see you working in the Public Mental Health Ward. We support continuing education for all staff through our education department and have clinical nurse educators on the ward.
As an Assistant in Nursing your responsibilities will include:
• Assisting nurses or hospital staff in carrying out patient care duties
• Working as part of the health care team; practice in accordance with state legislation and within the designated scope of practice parameters
• Assessing patients using therapeutic skills
• Answering patient/visitor/customer enquiries
Northern Beaches Hospital is a fully licensed private hospital, providing care to public and private patients from an outstanding facility with a large range of quality services provided by exceptional nurses, doctors and staff.
To be successful in this role you will possess the following skills and attributes:
• More than 2 years’ experience in a mental health setting
• Excellent customer service skills
• Demonstrated, effective written, verbal communication
• Excellent ability to plan and prioritise work
• Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
• Experience working in the private healthcare system
• Flexibility to manage shift work (including, day & night shifts) over 7 days

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives’ – Enterprise Agreement
