Administration Officer
The Geelong Clinic is a private psychiatric hospital that offers a range of inpatient, day programs and outreach services for individuals experiencing mental health problems, located on the outskirts of Geelong within close proximity to spectacular coastal attractions.
The Geelong Clinic has a number of accredited Psychiatrists supported by a skilled multidisciplinary team of nursing, allied health, administration and domestic services staff. The hospital is a 73 bed facility and has recently undergone some exciting renovations and expansions. We also offer free car parking onsite and a variety of staff benefits.
Administration Officer – Part-time, fixed-term.
An excellent opportunity exists for a highly motivated and suitably experienced individual to support our allied health and administration teams. This position is 4 days per week and will be fixed term from early November 2025 until early August 2026.
As the Administration Officer your responsibilities will include: -
· Organise appointments and prepare admission paperwork
· Maintain accurate and effective record management and booking systems
· Maintain the day program spreadsheet
· Perform Health Fund Checks
· Undertake private practice billing
· Manage the collection of excesses/co-payments
· Back-fill on reception desk when required
· Liaise with staff from other departments
· Complete other clerical tasks such as data entry
Desirable Competencies/Qualifications include:
· Previous reception and administration experience
· High level of initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
· Prior experience in the health industry preferrable
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
· Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
· Works well independently and within a team
