Knox Private Hospital is one of the largest private hospitals in Victoria, caring for over 1.2 million people across Melbourne’s east and outer east.
This Hospital is a fully accredited tertiary facility with 334 beds, providing Emergency Services, Extensive Surgical Specialities, 14 bed ICU, 17 bed CCU, Medical, and a full range of Cardiac Services including two 24-hour Cardiac Catheter Laboratories.
The largest and most established private hospital in the eastern region of Victoria, Knox Private Hospital, specialises in diagnostic, elective and emergency cardiovascular care, including open heart surgery, 24/7. About the role
Our Administration Officers provide outstanding customer care to patients and their families. This is a great role for experienced and patient care focused individuals who are wanting to achieve a dynamic career in healthcare.
As an Administration Officer your responsibilities will include:
- Manage a busy reception desk
- Answer and redirect calls
- Prepare admission paperwork
- Conduct follow up requests
- Maintain accurate and effective record management systems including preparation of medical records
- Perform Health Fund Checks as required
- Manage the collection of excesses/co payments
- Coordinate with staff from other departments
- Complete other clerical tasks such as data entry
Selection Criteria:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Works well independently and within a team
- WebPas Hospital system experience (Desired)
