As an Allied Health Assistant your responsibilities will include:
- Support members of the Allied Health team to provide a high standard of clinical care to patients/families
- Work under the direction and supervision of the Allied Health Team to help clients achieve their goals

The position is responsible for providing treatment prescribed by the physiotherapist to inpatients including:
- Mobilising Patients with or without an aid
- Supervision of exercises individually and in a group
- Clear documentation and record keeping
- Performing specific tests e.g. spirometry
- Supervision of chest physiotherapy exercises
- Give feedback and progress updates to physiotherapy staff
What We’re Looking For
- Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance or studying in similar field
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, manage time effectively and complete activities
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy roles
- Experience working with or providing care to post operative surgical/medical patients and frail/aged disabled patients in a health care setting or a basic understanding of exercise programs
