About the role 
The Allied Health Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of prescribed Allied Health therapy programs and tasks which encourage independence, and/or maintenance of client mobility and functional status.

Duties include but not limited to:

·       Maintain patient/client and staff confidentiality in compliance with the Privacy Legislation and ACHA privacy policy.

·       Adhere to corporate and hospital site / business units policies and procedures

·       Day to day completion of individual programs as directed by the Allied Health Professional in an inpatient  setting.

·       Report, liaise and feed back in a timely manner on all operational day to day matters including, but not limited to, client status, advice and improvement of skills.

·       In line with the position, from time to time, any other clinical or non-clinical duties/responsibilities as delegated by the Allied Health Professional.

About you

Essential criteria includes:

·       Certificate IV Allied Health Assistant

·       Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.

·       Ability to complete work in a timely, professional manner.

·       Clear and open communication skills.

·       Strong customer service focus.

·       Ability to follow directions accurately and work responsibly with or without supervision.

·       Good organisational and time management skills.

·       Basic knowledge of clerical and administrative processes.

·       Demonstrate knowledge of computer literacy.
