About the Role
As an ANUM in our ICU, you will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager and wider leadership team to support the day-to-day operation of the unit. This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging nurse leader or experienced clinician ready to further develop their management capabilities within a high-acuity environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the daily clinical and operational management of the ICU
- Coordinating evidence-based nursing care and ensuring high standards of patient outcomes
- Providing leadership, mentorship and support to nursing staff
- Fostering a positive team culture focused on continuous learning and professional development
- Building strong relationships with VMOs and multidisciplinary teams
- Driving quality improvement initiatives and clinical audit activities
- Contributing to workforce planning and effective resource management
- Providing direct patient care and clinical leadership when required
About You
You are a motivated and clinically proficient ICU nurse who enjoys supporting and developing others. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.
To be successful, you will have:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Current Working with Children Check (where applicable)
- Recent ICU nursing experience
- Previous ANUM, Acting ANUM or Clinical Nurse Specialist experience (highly regarded)
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Minimum three years' post-registration clinical experience
- Knowledge of ACQSHC National Standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational, prioritisation and time management abilities
- A commitment to leading by example and promoting a positive team culture

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the Victoria - Nurses' and Midwives' Agreement 2025 (Salay range between $60.15 and $62.17 + 12% Super)
