This position is directly responsible for providing leadership, strategic and operational direction.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop managerial and leadership skills of the highest standard, participate in the recruitment, budget and operational requirements of the unit and as part of the leadership group, participate in quality improvement projects and initiatives that ensure Healthscope policies, procedures and key performance indicators are maintained.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Ensuring provision of nursing care is evidence based and consistent with optimal client outcomes
· Ensuring appropriate allocations of human resources occurs across all arms of the unit/program
· Ensuring measures to maintain staff, visitors and patient safety are implemented and maintained
· Participation in the development and implementation of policies, quality improvement active in relevant executive forums that are in keeping with Healthscope strategic direction and standards
Selection Criteria:
- Registered Division 1 Nurse with at least 3 years’ experience in Mental Health Nursing care
- Current AHPRA registration
