Are you a senior Registered Nurse with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, looking to step into more of a leadership role?
Nepean Private Hospital is looking for an Associate Nurse Unit Manager to work across our HDU and medical cardiac ward on a full-time basis.
About the Role
The position is responsible for providing clinical leadership to the HDU and medical/cardiology ward and working collaboratively with the consultants to compliment the strategic direction, operational processes and quality management of all patients.
You will provide clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based.
With the assistance and direction of the Cardiac Services Manager, you will be accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial and material resources.

Nepean Private Hospital is in the multi-cultural Western Sydney City of Penrith. The hospital is a modern 109 bed facility providing a wide range of health services to the local community since 2000 including: orthopaedics, spinal, gynaecology, ENT, plastics, urology and general surgery, endoscopy, cardiology, cardiac angiography and obstetrics. Nepean Private Hospital has eight operating theatres, one hybrid/cardiac catheterisation theatre and an endoscopy suite, supported by a critical care unit which includes intensive care.

Position Responsibilities
· Facilitate a learning culture to ensure continuous improvement
· Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high quality patient outcomes.
· Provide clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based.
· Be accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial and material resources
· Coordinate and drive clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives
· Undertaking direct patient care, as required
Selection Criteria:
· Current Registration with AHPRA
· Working with Children check (if relevant)
· Current or previous ANUM or clinical nurse specialist experience (desirable)
· Post Graduate Certificate in Critical Care Nursing or working towards (desirable)
· Sound clinical knowledge
· Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
· Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills
· Positive role modelling behaviours
· Excellent customer service focus, time management and prioritisation
· Ability to manage a dynamic and changing environment
· High degree of computer literacy including MS office and various data bases

If successful, you will receive a salary based of award Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF — NSW Nurses’ & Midwives’ Enterprise Agreement with an hourly rate of $68.87
