You will play a key role within a supportive team to ensure our patients have a great experience during their care.

As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager your responsibilities will include:
- providing clinical leadership to the Medical Ward to compliment the strategic direction, operational processes and quality management of all patients.
- providing clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of evidence-based nursing care.
- accountability for the effective daily management of human, financial and material resources.

John Fawkner Private Hospital is located in the northwest of Melbourne. With 186 registered beds, a 12 cubicle Emergency Department, 4 operating theatres, 12 bed critical care complex and busy Day Procedure Unit the hospital provides a wide range of services to its community. The hospital specialises in orthopaedics, general surgery, general medicine, oncology, cardiology, urology, plastic surgery, ENT and gynaecology.
Essential Criteria
- Previous experience at ANUM level or equivalent
- Current Registration with AHPRA
- Working with Children check
- Compliance with ACSQHC National standards
- A strong commitment to developing in a management role
- Ability to work cohesively within a team environment
- Proven time management and prioritisation skills
- Demonstrate a sound knowledge base in labour management
- Demonstrated HR management experience
- Computer literacy including MS office and various data bases
