An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced full-time Clinical Dietitian at Northern Beaches Hospital (NBH).
Located in Frenchs Forest, Northern Beaches Hospital (NBH) is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to delivering exceptional healthcare services to both public and private patients. Our hospital features 488 beds, a 50-bed Emergency Department, a 20-bed general and cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit. NBH is designed to provide comprehensive care and support to our community.
The Dietetics Department is looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our team. As a Clinical Dietitian (Level 1-2) you will make an impact by providing thorough nutrition assessment and intervention to patients enabling them to meet their nutritional requirements for recovery and improve their health outcomes. You will assist the Manager of Dietetics to provide quality Dietetic Service at Northern Beaches Hospital including student supervision, QI activities and service development.
Key responsibilities
Provide nutritional management for admitted inpatients and outpatients including nutrition assessment, planning and implementing appropriate interventions, providing education and counselling to patients and carers.
Ability to work as part of the interdisciplinary team to provide assessment and evidence-based interventions
Participate in supervision to students on clinical placement
Contribute to service development and quality improvement
Essential Criteria:
Australian Resident or Citizen with full working rights.
Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent that meets the requirements for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA)
Recent acute care clinical dietetics knowledge and experience
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team whilst maintaining a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated effective interpersonal, strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to initiate and participate in quality improvement initiatives and/or service evaluation processes
Ability to prioritize and manage workload demands, meet deadlines and complete activities within scope of practice.
