As the Clinical Nurse Educator, you will:
- Lead and coordinate education, training, and professional development across Mental Health Services
- Support graduate nurses, new staff, and students through orientation, supervision, and competency development
- Promote evidence-based practice and contemporary mental health care
- Drive mandatory training compliance and competency frameworks
- Partner with Nurse Unit Managers and leadership team to identify learning needs and workforce capability gaps
- Provide clinical leadership, support, and role modelling to nursing staff
- Contribute to quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical governance initiatives
Reporting to the Director of Nursing. this role is integral to building a sustainable and highly skilled mental health workforce at Northpark Private Hospital
Northpark is a leading private hospital in Melbourne’s northern corridor, providing:
- Early Parenting, Adult and Older Persons Psychiatry Services
- Evidence-based inpatient and group therapy programs
- Neurostimulation services including ECT, esKetamine, and TMS
- A strong multidisciplinary model of care
- As well as surgery and maternity service.
Essential Criteria:
- Current AHPRA Registration
- Significant experience in Mental Health Nursing
- Demonstrated clinical leadership and education experience
- Sound knowledge of clinical governance, quality and safety standards
- Excellent communication, coaching, and facilitation skills
- Postgraduate qualification in mental health nursing (preferably at Master’s level)
- Certificate IV Workplace Assessment & Training (desirable)
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (desirable)
