About the role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Urology CN, looking for a new opportunity, to join our team!

The Clinical Nurse (CN) role provides advanced clinical and problem-solving skills, expert planning and coordination skills in the clinical management of perioperative patients with complex care needs, ensuring quality standards are met. This role works autonomously within the healthcare team structure and is pivotal in the planning, managing and delivering of perioperative specialist nursing care. The CN provides clinical leadership for professional and clinical practice, education and research. The role supports in management activities including portfolio responsibilities.

Sunnybank Private Hospital is an evolving facility that has provided care to the local community for over 40 years and continually embraces the highest quality of holistic patient care.

The facility is comprised of 122 inpatient beds, 7 operating theatres, 2 procedure rooms, Day Surgery Unit and an ICU.

As a Registered Nurse your responsibilities will include:

• Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care
• Provide complex and multi-disciplinary care 
• Work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs
• Act as a role model for Safe Practice
• Safe operation of equipment relative to clinical area (e.g. ventilators, dialysis machines/OT
• equipment, vital sign monitors, medication pumps)
• Standards and scope of practice for different nursing roles (EN, Assistant Nursing, PSAs,) to enable
• effective direct and indirect supervision
  
   

Essential Criteria:

• Authority to Work in Australia
• Working with Children check (if relevant)
• Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
• Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA
• Experienced in the theatre environment (Essential)
• Previous experience in clinical education and training.
• An ability to influence at various hospital levels, plan efficiently and effectively and show drive to achieve results.
• Outstanding relationship building and communication skills.
• Productive in a self-directed environment.
• Able to communicate with people on a variety of knowledge levels.
• Clinical expertise in urology and a commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement.
• Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team
• Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focused.

 If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and QLDNMA/ANMF- QLD Nurse and Midwives' -Enterprise Agreement 2022 - 2025, a salary ranging from $42.74 - $68.22 per hour.
