Brisbane Private Hospital is currently inviting applications for our Clinical Nurse Theatre Floor Coordinator role.
We are seeking an experienced Perioperative Nurse to oversee AM/PM theatre teams at Brisbane Private Hospital where you will play a key leadership role within our perioperative department in ensuring high levels of patient care is provided.

Brisbane Private Hospital specialises in Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, Spinal, ENT, Pain and Rehabilitation with additional specialties including Plastics, Urology, General Surgery, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Brisbane Private Hospital also delivers a leading private drug and alcohol program, Damascus Health Services, from its dedicated drug and alcohol rehabilitation unit.
As the Operating Theatre Floor Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:
· Ensure the smooth operation of 17 theatres
· Oversee safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards
· Support and liaise with the Nurse Unit Manager of the Perioperative department and wards
· Ensure all theatres are staffed appropriately and cost efficient
· Understanding of legislative requirements, ACORN and sterilization standards
· Knowledge of accreditation processes and Quality / Risk management
Essential Criteria:
· Current Registration with AHPRA
· Previous experience as a Floor Coordinator highly desired
· Commitment to Quality Patient Care
· Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
· Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
· Excellent Communication and Customer Services skills
· Highly organised and strong ability to prioritise tasks
