Campbelltown Private Hospital is a purpose-built private hospital located in Park Central, the ever-growing medical hub of Campbelltown. Our modern facilities include 8 Operating Theatres, 48 Surgical beds, 15 bed Day Surgery Unit and 34 bed Rehabilitation Unit. As a Health Information Manager your responsibilities will include:
Assistance with the management of the Health Information Service including all aspects of medical record management and related activities.
Timely and accurate clinical coding.
Participate in case mix analysis, education & quality activities
Clinical documentation improvement initiatives
Assist with the timely extraction and submission of mandatory data reporting
Participate in audits as necessary
Essential Requirements:
· Bachelor of Health Information Management and/or Master of Health Information Management or equivalent
· Experience leading and managing staff
· Strong clinical coding with the ability to train and mentor coding staff – current 13th edition.
· Sound understanding of Codefinder & Turbocoder
· Demonstrated experience in the extraction and submission of data to external parties
· Strong organisational skills in planning, prioritising and managing workloads
· Highly developed problem solving skills that lead to positive outcomes
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships
Desirable Criteria:
· Knowledge of private sector funding models
· Knowledge of WebPAS patient information system
· HIMAA Advanced Clinical Coding Certificate and Certification
· La Trobe Clinical Coding Audit Certificate
