We are seeking a Health Information Services Officer to join our Health Information Services team at Ringwood Private Hospital. 

Reporting to the Health Information Manager, you will provide essential clerical support within Medical Records, ensuring timely, accurate and confidential management of patient information. Duties include preparing medical records for patient care, responding to enquiries, and maintaining records in line with organisational standards and privacy legislation.

About the role:

  • Permanent part time, 14 hours a week 
  • Coordinate, prepare and maintain medical records
  • Ensure accurate tracking, filing and storage of records
  • Respond to internal and external enquiries
  • Support timely processing for clinical coding and billing
  • Adhere to quality, safety, confidentiality and compliance standards

Essential Criteria:

  • Strong keyboard and data entry skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a team member in a small team environment
  • Ability to work within deadlines

Desirable:

  • Experience with the WebPAS patient information system
  • Previous hospital clerk experience
