Newcastle Private is currently seeking highly motivated Health Information Services Officers to join our Medical Records team on a casual basis.

Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Medical record retrieval
• Provision of health information to internal and external clients
• Filing of paperwork
• Filing of medical records
• Day to day functionality of the Health Information Service Department
• Participating in performance improvement activities
• Culling of medical records

What you'll need to succeed

• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work autonomously and as a team member in a small team environment
• Ability to work within deadlines

Desirable Criteria:

• Experience with the WebPAS patient information system
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products eg. Excel

A private maternity suite including 6 birthing suites and a special care baby nursery is available for families in the Newcastle region. Newcastle Private Oncology Centre provides specialty care for individuals and their families/carers undergoing all aspects of cancer treatment and care with both an inpatient unit and day infusion lounge.
