Part-time position (30 hours/fortnight)
Are you an experienced allied health clinician with a passion for education, staff development and driving excellence in clinical practice and patient care? The Victorian Rehabilitation Centre is offering an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Hospital Educator (Allied Health & Support Services).
Working collaboratively with our Hospital Educator (Nursing), Quality and Department Leads, you will play a key role in ensuring the planning, development, delivery and evaluation of education at the hospital is well thought out and executed.
As a Hospital Educator your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and developing the education program/s within the hospital
- Coordination and delivery/facilitation of orientation and education sessions for staff
- Promoting a high standard of evidence-based clinical treatment and care through dissemination of current best practice knowledge
- Monitoring and supporting departments in maintaining compliance with mandatory training requirements (including completion of eLearning)
Contributing to relevant committees and working groups
- Supporting facility student placement programs (where indicated)
The Victorian Rehabilitation Centre is a 93-bed rehabilitation facility based in Glen Waverley, and forms part of the Healthscope Victorian Rehabilitation Hospitals group (Glen Waverley and Pascoe Vale locations). We offer a friendly and supportive staff environment, with established multidisciplinary teams servicing inpatient, outpatient and Rehab at Home rehabilitation programs, which have a reputation for high quality and patient-focused care, across a range of rehabilitation specialities.
Essential Criteria:
- Current AHPRA registration (where applicable to profession)
- Experience with education delivery and utilisation of eLearning platforms
- High degree of computer literacy including MS Office
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to engage others in learning and development
Highly organised with an ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
Desirable Criteria:
- Certificate IV Workplace Training and Assessment (or working towards)
- Post Graduate Certificate in related specialty area (or working towards)
Prior relevant clinical and educator experience
