About the role:

Pine Rivers Private Hospital are seeking a Consulting Suites Medical Receptionist to join our team to cover some upcoming staff leave with approximately 20-25 hours per week. Rosters are between the hours of 7:30am - 5:30pm. No weekend work required. Potential for continued employment as our practice continues to grow.

As a Medical Receptionist your responsibilities will include: 

Ensure timely and competent handling of administrative duties, including:

  • Greeting patients with a friendly and professional manner.
  • Answer queries and manage correspondence to relevant stakeholders
  • Schedule appointments, prepare admissions and follow up visits
  • Ensure communication is handled in a sensitive manner
  • Maintain data records including entering and updating patient information records
  • Manage patient invoicing and payments including Health Fund/Medicare service billing

 

About us:

Located on the bank of the South Pine River in Strathpine, our 70-bed mental health facility provides comprehensive inpatient and day programs for our Queensland community. As a leading provider, we specialise in addiction, bipolar and depressive disorders, mood disorders, OCD, PTSD and complex PTSD management, psychosis and chronic pain management. We also deliver specialised therapies in EMDR, TMS and ECT.

Selection Criteria:

  • Previous Medical Reception experience essential

  • Demonstrated knowledge in EFTPOS systems 

  • Previous knowledge of Medical Practice Software is essential

  • Computer skills in MS Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)

  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and work within a busy team

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a drive to achieve customer satisfaction

  • Flexible to work a variety of shifts.
