Occupational Therapist – Grade 2

Be part of our rehabilitation team through a 12-month maternity leave contract delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across inpatient, outpatient and community-based settings.

 About the role

Are you an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist with a passion for rehabilitation? We are seeking a motivated Occupational Therapist to support our rehabilitation services.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will play an integral role in delivering high-quality services to patients across a broad range of rehabilitation specialities, including orthopaedic, reconditioning, neurological and musculoskeletal programs. In this role, you will provide comprehensive rehabilitation services including collaboration with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team to support optimal recovery and achievement of rehabilitation goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provision of comprehensive Occupational Therapy rehabilitation services across out inpatient and/or outpatient programs
  • Assessing, providing and evaluating clinical care, in collaboration with patients/families and the multidisciplinary team, to achieve identified rehabilitation goals
  • A commitment to ongoing learning via participation in quality improvement initiatives, clinical supervision and professional development programs

Essential Criteria:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent 
  • Current registration as an Occupational Therapist with AHPRA 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
  • Prior experience in rehabilitation (as a clinician or student) desirable
  • Current drivers licence essential

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant Occupational Therapy experience against the Healthscope – VIC – Allied Health Professionals Enterprise Agreement, with remuneration ranging from $46.80 to $56.30 per hour.
