About the role
The role is responsible for provision of a smooth and streamlined high-quality patient service across the orthopaedic specialty. With a focus on evidence-based patient outcomes and strong key stakeholder engagement with VMO, nursing and allied health teams, will further support Knox’s strategy and continued growth in orthopaedic excellence.
This is a full-time role encompassing Monday to Friday day shift.
Responsibilities will include:
· Effective and efficient management of Human Resources within the specialty.
· Delivery of excellent customer service
· Ensure that the delivery of nursing and allied health service provision within the specialty is at an optimal level, is evidence based, efficient and meets the needs of patients and VMOs.
· Ensure staff participation in case conferences
· Identify opportunities for program development and enhancement of services
· Facilitate high quality teamwork within the specialty.
· Participate, develop and implement policies as required.
· Management of AOANJRR.
· Quality Improvements and Safety management
Essential criteria:
· Current registration with AHPRA
· Post Graduate Nursing qualification with minimum two years’ experience in speciality.
- Highly motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Mature work ethic with strong customer service skills.
- Demonstrate positive role modelling behaviours.
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Innovative and agile
- Understanding/experience in human resources and improving performance.
- High level of critical thinking, problem solving and organisational skills.
- Able to demonstrate a strong patient focus.
- A collaborative style with VMOs, nurses and allied health professionals in line with Healthscope values.
