Norwest Private Hospital is offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Intensive Care/ Coronary Care Physiotherapist to join their in-house physiotherapy department.
 
Are you an experienced and dynamic clinician with strong leadership qualities? 
 
This position is responsible for the clinical leadership of the ICU/CCU physiotherapy service. The role would require you to possess specialist professional competence knowledge, skills and clinical experience in the area of ICU/CCU in the acute hospital setting.
 
 
As a Physiotherapist your responsibilities will include:
  • Participate in and drive program development and quality improvement activities within the Physiotherapy Department for critical care patients
  • Provide high quality clinical care to patients
  • Provide leadership to designated area, assisting the Allied Health Manager with workload management and strategic planning
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and professional development programs
  • Provide supervision and mentoring to junior staff and students

Essential Criteria:
  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy (or equivalent)
  • Current registration as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience across a range of acute hospital services with at least 1 years’ experience in ICU/CCU
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a senior role within a physiotherapy department
  • Demonstrated specialist knowledge, skills and clinical experience in Intensive/Coronary Care when performing novel, complex or critical tasks
  • Ability to provide in-depth advice, education and clinical supervision to junior staff members to enhance service delivery
  • Ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff
  • Demonstrated commitment to and experience in fostering and implementing professional development and evidenced based practice within a clinical team
  • Proven effective interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills as well as demonstrated computer literacy
  • Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills
  • Roster flexibility ful-time across Monday to Sunday shifts
