Our team at Brisbane Private Hospital are seeking an experienced Registered or Enrolled Nurse to join our Bookings team on a permanent full-time basis.
About the role:
This role would suit an experienced registered or enrolled nurse who has perioperative nursing experience. To succeed in this role you will enjoy a faced paced environment where you can draw on your clinical knowledge and skills to ensure accurate information is communicated to all key stake holders involved in the patient’s surgical journey. You will enjoy working in a team as well as independently and your excellent communication skills will be essential in building relationships with VMO practice managers to facilitate the flow of information between the rooms and the booking office at Brisbane Private Hospital. You’ll be supported by great managers, be part of a strong, innovative team and have the opportunity to grow professionally.
Your responsibilities will include:
- coordinating surgical bookings
- managing on the day changes to surgical lists
- managing adhoc surgical case additions
- reviewing daily theatre lists to ensure efficient utilisation of operating theatre sessions
- assist in data entry relating to surgical cases
- Work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care
- Act as a role model for Safe Practice
About you:
- Current Registration with AHPRA
- Prior experience as a Registered or Enrolled Nurse within in Perioperative Unit (minimum 3 years) and broad clinical experience preferred
- Sound computer skills
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft 365
- Agile learner who is technologically adept and able to rapidly acquire new skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to think critically and be a self starter
