Are you an experienced Registered Nurse with a passion for Cardiac Cath Lab nursing?

Gold Coast Private Hospital are expanding our dynamic and supportive team and are seeking motivated RN’s who want to grow their clinical expertise in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment.

As a Registered Nurse working within our Cath Labs, you will be part of a collaborative team that operates across three theatres. Our Cath Lab is unique in that we work across multiple specialties within one integrated service — covering Cardiac, Vascular, Electrophysiology (EP), Neurointerventional and Interventional Radiology procedures.

Established in 2016, Gold Coast Private Hospital is a state-of-the-art, 340-bed facility located in the heart of the Gold Coast Precinct in Southport.

With 22 operating theatres, Gold Coast Private Hospital offers a wide range of specialties including, but not limited to, 24/7 Emergency Care, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care, and Oncology.

About the role

As a Registered Nurse working within our Cath labs, you will be a part of a supportive team that operate across our three theatres, covering Cardiac, Vascular and Electrophysiology procedures. 

In this role your duties will include:

- Provide hig

‑Provide high quality, evidencebased nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures

- Work collaboratively with cardiologists, electrophysiologists, vascular surgeons, neurointerventional specialists and interventional radiologists, along with the wider multidisciplinary team to support safe and effective patient outcomes

- Respond confidently to acute and emergency situations within the Cath Lab environment

 - Prepare, operate and maintain Cath Lab equipment in line with clinical and safety standards

- Support safe patient flow through admission, procedural and recovery phases

- Provide clear pre and postprocedure education to patients and their families

- Participate in quality improvement activities, audits and professional development

- Mentor and support junior nurses and students within the clinical environment

Essential Criteria:

·       Current Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse

·       Recent experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardiac Nursing, Critical Care, or ability and willingness to learn

·       Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced acute procedural environment

·       Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

·       Excellent communication and teamwork skills

·       Commitment to high‑quality, patient‑centred care

·       Commitment to ongoing professional development

·       Ability to meet on‑call requirements with appropriate response time

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope - Queensland - Nurses Enterprise Agreement 2021 - 2025" (salaries range between $41.49 and $52.97 per hour + superannuation)
