Ringwood Private Hospital is currently seeking experienced oncology-trained Registered Nurse to join our Day Therapy Unit (Thompson Unit) on a part-time basis with flexible working hours.
About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse with experience in Oncology and/or Haematology. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care, including the safe administration of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other infusion therapies.

Key Responsibilities:
- Administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive treatments
- Conducting comprehensive patient assessments
- Providing education to patients and families on treatment, self-care, and side effect management
- Delivering evidence-based nursing care for patients receiving infusions for conditions such as Crohn’s disease and Multiple Sclerosis
- Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintaining a strong focus on patient and staff safety
- Supporting patients through recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life care

Essential Criteria:
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Valid Working with Children Check
- Experience in oncology and/or haematology nursing
- Ability to administer cytotoxic chemotherapy and related treatments
- Competency in:
- PICC and PORT access
- IV cannulation and phlebotomy
- Central Venous Access Device (CVAD) management
- Current ADAC chemotherapy competency
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Commitment to quality patient care and compliance with ACQSHC National Standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer literacy
- A current National Police Check
- A current Working with Children Check
- Evidence of immunisation status, including COVID-19 vaccination

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and VICNMA/ANMF-VIC Nurse and Midwives' -Enterprise Agreement 2022, a salary ranging from $37.6052 - $51.5089 per hour.
