The Opportunity
Are you a Perioperative Registered Nurse with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care? Mount Private Hospital is looking to employ experienced Registered Nurses for our Scrub Scout team.
The Mount Hospital is situated in a desirable inner-city location with low-cost parking included for our staff. Our services include three Cardiac Catheter Laboratories, ten Theatres including a true Hybrid theatre able to perform a multitude of highly complex procedures. Surgical specialties include cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, orthopedic, general surgery, urology, plastics, and ENT.
Key functions include
· Established and maintained positive relationships with patients, families, staff and VMOs from diverse backgrounds and cultures
· Provide exceptional customer service and person-centred and evidence-based care
· Provide supervision and preceptorship to Enrolled Nurses, graduates and students
· Worked as a valued member of an inter-disciplinary team, managed own work time and personal well-being
· Involved in clinical and compliance auditing
About You
You will hold a minimum of 3 years’ full-time scrub scout experience. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have a thorough understanding of patient care in a private hospital setting.
To be successful in this role, you will:
· Have current AHPRA registration (essential)
· Work in accordance with ACORN standards, in order to maintain a high standard of evidence based patient care excellence
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Demonstrate exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients within the perioperative complex
· Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
· Well -developed skills to organise and prioritise workload
· Implementing strategies to ensure quality and risk management are integrated to daily activities
· Have relevant post-graduate qualifications (desirable)
