Gold Coast Private Hospital is currently looking for an experienced Scrub Scout Nurse to join our team of professionals in providing excellent patient care on a part-time basis.

With 22 operating theatres, Gold Coast Private Hospital offers a wide range of specialties including, but not limited to, 24/7 Emergency Care, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care, and Oncology.

Your duties will include
- Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgery, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and ready for use
- Assist the surgical team by scrubbing in, passing instruments, and anticipating the needs of the surgeon
- Monitor and manage the sterile field to ensure patient safety and prevent infection
- Collaborate with the surgical team to provide optimal care during surgeries
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of procedures and patient information
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols
Essential Criteria:
- A minimum of 12 months experience as a RN Scrub Scout
- Scrub scout experience in multiple specialties including urology, orthopaedics, and cardiothoracic
- Experience with Da Vinci robotic surgical systems
- Current Registration with AHPRA
- Commitment to Quality Patient care
- Confident to liaise and support VMO’s
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to changing situations
- Commitment to maintaining a sterile and safe environment

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope - Queensland - Nurses Enterprise Agreement 2021 - 2025" (salaries range between $41.49 and $52.97 per hour + superannuation)
