About the role:
Peninsula Private Hospital is seeking experienced Scrub/Scout Registered Nurses with demonstrated experience in Major Orthopaedics, as well as General Surgery and Urology, to join our perioperative Services Team. The successful candidate will primarily support our busy Orthopaedic theatre lists while also contributing across a range of surgical specialities. Come work in our brand-new, state-of-the-art theatre facilities, CSSD and PACU spaces on a permanent part-time basis.
About Us:
Peninsula Private is a 65-bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 6 operating theatres and a new high dependency unit to open soon, on the idyllic Redcliffe Peninsula. Specialties include orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, gynaecology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, internal medicine and the delivery of leading rehabilitation services and programs on the Brisbane northside.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care
- Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
- Ensure patient and staff safety
- Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members, graduates and students
- Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their surgery and health recovery
Essential Criteria:
- Current Registration with AHPRA or relevant governing body
- Proven Scrub/Scout experience in an acute perioperative environment, particularly in Major Orthopaedics, with the ability to support General Surgery and Urology lists
- Valid working rights in Australia
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
- Sound clinical decision making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Works well independently and within a team
- Basic computer skills

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and VICNMA/ANMF- VIC Nurse and Midwives' -Enterprise Agreement 2022, a salary ranging from $41.9025 - $53.6980 per hour.
