  • Full time, Fixed Term - 6 months

The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Theatre Resources Office Manager to join our theatre team on a full-time basis.

Reporting to our Nurse Unit Manager – Operating Theatres, you will bring the operational knowledge and people leadership required to ensure the provision of exceptional service is maintained every day.  

You will play a vital role in the daily organisation of the department as you will be responsible for leading the support services teams and ensuring operational processes are in place to support the clinical team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Rostering & people leadership to the Orderly and Setup teams

  • Operational support to theatre teams by being responsible for the overseeing of equipment, maintenance and compliance schedules

  • Responsible for the service provision of the setups and orderly teams

  • Working with prosthesis, stores and CN’s to source specific consumables, alternatives etc.

  • Coordination equipment trials alongside Healthscope National Prosthesis team and the NUM – Theatres

  • Engage with third party providers ie: Biomed, Radiation Safety, Company representatives

  • Work with Clinical Nurses on establishment of CAPEX requests

  • Review of CAPEX equipment requirements, service, consignment and consumable agreements in conjunction with the OT NUM

Brisbane Private is a 181 bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 17 operating theatres conveniently located above the Roma Street Parklands. Specialties include neurosurgery, orthopaedics, spinal, plastics and ENT surgeries.

About you

As a leader you will have extensive experience working in a fast-paced theatre complex (approximately 450 procedures pw). You will have demonstrated proven experience, or a keen interest in people development and leading team culture.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Rostering experience

  • Experience leading high performing teams with a service excellence approach

  • Ability to communicate with influence

  • Proven time management and prioritisation skills

  • Demonstrate a good knowledge base in labour management

  •  A commitment to a high standard of customer focused care
