Ward Clerk – Ringwood Private Hospital

Our Ward Clerks provide outstanding customer care to patients and their families. This is a great role for experienced and patient care focused individuals who are wanting to achieve work-life balance and a dynamic career in healthcare.  

 

As a Ward Clerk your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing excellent patient facing customer service
  • Handle enquires with a friendly and professional manner 
  • Manage clerical and administrative responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient information data collection and processing of medical records  
  • Assist nursing staff with indirect patient care under the supervision of Nurse Unit Managers
  • Liaise with allied health, wards persons and other hospital departments when required to facilitate patient treatments or transfers

 

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience in an patient focused healthcare facility/hospital 
  • Highly developed interpersonal and time management skills with the ability to work in multidisciplinary work environments
  • Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Ability to work autonomously in a self-directive environment
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Availability and reliability

 

Desirable criteria:

•           Previous experience in a medical environment

•           Experience with medical terminology

•           Experience with WebPAS Medical System

•           Experience in a ward environment
