Part Time Role 0.6 FTE
Are you a motivated and passionate Ward Clerk or Administrator looking to step into a rewarding career opportunity? This is a great role for experienced and patient care focused individuals who are wanting to achieve a dynamic career in Healthcare.
Providing support to Ward 3C (20 bed adult acute mental health unit) and MHSSU (6 bed Mental Health Short Stay Unit) as a Ward Clerk your responsibilities will include:
- Work closely with nursing, medical, and allied health teams to support administrative processes and facilitate efficient workflow.
- Coordinate schedules and ensure timely submission of required forms and reports.
- Liaise with the psychiatry team to prepare and organize documentation for Mental Health Tribunal hearings.
- Maintain awareness of relevant legislative requirements and compliance standards. Ensure all legal paperwork is accurate, complete, and up to date in accordance with the Mental Health Act.
- Monitor and answer doorbells, ensuring smooth access control and visitor management.
- Attend to incoming phone calls and respond promptly to inquiries.
Essential Criteria:
• experience in an acute patient focused healthcare facility/hospital,
• highly developed interpersonal and time management skills with the ability to work in multidisciplinary work environments,
• good computer literacy & sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel),
• a track record of providing great service and customer experience,
• strong interpersonal communication and report writing skills,
• ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment.
