About the role
Brisbane Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our Finance Team on a full time basis.
This is a ‘hands-on’ transactional role, reporting to the Director of Finance and is ideal for someone who is a star assistant accountant in their current role, and is now looking for a new challenge.

Brisbane Private is a 181 bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 17 operating theatres conveniently located above the Roma Street Parklands. Specialties include neurosurgery, orthopaedics, spinal, plastics, urology, ENT, Rehabilitation and general surgery and delivery of Brisbane’s leading private drug and alcohol programs from Damascus Health Services.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Month-end journals and closing
· Balance Sheet Reconciliations
· Capital Evaluation and business cases
· Budgeting and forecasting
· AP & AR
· Business analytics and reporting
· Variance and trend analysis
· Business Partnering
· Assist with key financial decision-making
Essential Criteria:
· CA or CPA qualification (or near completion)
· Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with key stakeholders
· Proven communication skills, both written and verbal
· Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience preferably gained in a commercial environment
· Advanced time management skills including the planning, prioritizing and scheduling of tasks
· Excellent attention to detail in the recording and reporting of information
· Advanced Excel skills and similar experience in ERP
· Outcome orientated.
· Previous Health Industry experience is desirable
· Experience as an analyst or business partner is desirable
