The Opportunity
Are you motivated and experienced Hospital Administration Officer looking to step into a rewarding career opportunity?
Peninsula Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Hospital Administration Officer to join our Reception Team (Mon – Fri available 6am – 6pm).
Example of shifts: 10.00am – 6.00pm up to 4 days per week or 6.00am – 2pm.
As an Administration Officer your responsibilities will include:
- Greet & admit up to 30 patients for theatre per day
- Handle enquires with a friendly and professional manner
- Answer a busy switch and redirect calls
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain accurate and effective record management systems including preparation of medical records
- Liaising with staff from different departments, other GP clinics, hospitals
- Accurate computer data entry
- To be successful in the role, you must have:
- Hospital Administration experience essential (minimum 12 months)
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Be able to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Demonstrated computer skills - MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Availability to work Monday – Friday is a must for this role 6.00am – 6.00pm

Selection Criteria:
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Works well independently and within a team
- Flexible to work a variety of shifts – early/late shifts & weekend work
- WebPas Hospital system experience (Desired)
