Melbourne Private Hospital is seeking an Administration Officer to join our team on a full time basis. This is a diverse administration role with a variety across all administration functions. Initial requirement is to fill Preadmissions and Bookings functions. You will play a key role working within our Administration Support Team to ensure our patients have a positive experience during their stay.

Melbourne Private Hospital is a fully accredited tertiary facility with 122 beds. The hospital has 4 theatres and offers a board range of specialties including cardiac, neurosurgery, robotics, plastics, orthopaedics, urology, laparoscopic, colorectal, vascular and general surgery as well as neurosurgery.
As an administration officer your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Perform a broad range of administration duties
- Answer and redirect phone calls to appropriate departments
- Prepare admission paperwork and compile financial patient file
- Maintain accurate and effective record management systems including preparation of medical records
- Manage the collection of excesses/co payments
- Coordinate with staff from other departments
Essential Criteria:
- Authority to Work in Australia
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with Medical Software i.e. WebPAS
- Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
