Administration Officer (Full time)

Our Administration Team provide outstanding customer care to patients and their families. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work on a full time basis alongside our established team of Administration staff in supporting the hospital’s Admissions and Wards. This is a great role for an experienced and patient care focused individual.
As an Administration Officer your responsibilities will include performing a broad range of administration duties including:
· Organise appointments and prepare admission paperwork
· Conduct follow up requests and make reminder calls for visits
· Maintain accurate and effective record management systems including preparation of medical records
· Perform Health Fund Checks (as required)
· Manage the collection of excesses/co payments
· Coordinate with staff from other departments
· Complete other clerical tasks such as data entry
· Greet all patients and families
· Manage a busy reception desk
· Answer and redirect call
· Handle enquires with a friendly and professional manner
· Manage clerical and administrative responsibilities such as Private Practise billing
· Maintain accurate and timely patient information data collection and processing of medical records
Essential Criteria:
· Demonstrated experience in administrative tasks with customer focused approach
· Proven flexibility and reliability
· Excellent interpersonal and professional communication and liaison skills
· Demonstrated written communication skills
· Initiative and ability to problem solve
· Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
· Strong attention to detail
· Demonstrated ability to work within a team structure in a multi-disciplinary environment, treats everyone with courtesy and respect, respond positively to requests for assistance
· Ability to use patient information and record systems and a commitment to patient confidentiality
· Strong computer skills and willingness to learn and use patient management systems and databases
Desirable Criteria:
- WebPas hospital system experience
- Medical secretary experience
