We want you to work within the Allied Health team at Peninsula Private. Do you want to provide clinical and administrative assistance and support to Allied Health Professionals to ensure the delivery of a high quality rehabilitation service?

 

 

As an Allied Health Assistant your responsibilities will include:

  • Support members of the Allied Health team to provide a high standard of clinical care to patients/families, primarily within the Day Rehab unit
  • Work under the direction and supervision of physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech pathologists to help clients achieve their rehabilitation goals
  • Complete the daily administrative task requirements in Day rehab

 

  • Peninsula Private is currently a 60 bed acute and rehabilitation hospital located on the idyllic Redcliffe Peninsula. Specialties include orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, gynaecology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology and internal medicine and the delivery of leading rehabilitation services and programs on the Brisbane northside.

Selection Criteria:

  • Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, manage time effectively and complete activities
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident in the use of computer systems and IT or willingness to learn
  • Knowledge of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy roles
  • Experience working with or providing care to frail/aged/disabled people in a health care setting or a basic understanding of exercise program
