Are you a Registered Nurse with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, looking to step into more of a leadership role? John Fawkner Private Hospital is looking for an Orthopaedics Associate Nurse Unit Manager to support the Perioperative team.
About the role
John Fawkner Private Hospital is currently seeking an experienced ANUM to join our Perioperative Unit on part time basis.
Supported by the latest technology and an exciting $55 million upgrade, we offer state of the art surgical, medical, cancer, coronary and intensive care. We are renowned for complex surgery, with our Critical Care Complex being the only one of its type in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, providing intensive and high-dependency care post-surgery.

As a ANUM your responsibilities will include:
· Facilitate a learning culture to ensure continuous improvement
· Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high quality patient outcomes.
· Provide clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based.
· Be accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial and material resources
· Coordinate and drive clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives
· Undertaking direct patient care, as required
Selection Criteria:
· At least 3 years’ experience in Theatre-Scrub scout, CNS experience desirable
· Post Graduate Degree in Perioperative (desirable)
· Current Registration with AHPRA & WWCC
· Sound clinical knowledge
· Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
· Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills
· Positive role modelling behaviours
· Excellent customer service focus, time management and prioritisation
· People management experience (desirable)

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope - Victoria - Nurses' and Midwives' Agreement 2026-2030" (salaries range between $57.696 and $59.633 per hour).
